Study, Study, Study!

So here is what my life consists of lately: Study, study, study! There is so much information to learn in order to be a good nurse! My classes go really fast and if you don't stay caught up you would be completely lost! Andy has really been enjoying his classes this semester, too.  His favorite is Philosophy and he always has really interesting things to tell me that he is learning in class.  I had my last day of clinicals at the VA yesterday and we all got to leave a little early and go out to lunch at the Ram.  We still have three more weeks in the simulation lab to practice things we don't get a chance to see in clinical with the computerized mannequins.  So Monday I have to be ready to deliver a baby!

Deadwood Hot Springs

Our big accomplishment this summer was that we finally made it to Deadwood Hot Springs.  It is one of the best hot springs in the state but it is pretty hard to get to.  The hot springs is built up on a rocky overhang with concrete and pipes redirect the water from the source into the pool which you fill when you get there.  We drove 25 miles on a dirt road from Lowman to get to Deadwood Reservoir and then it was a 3 mile hike from there.  We brought our bikes for most of the trail and packed everything in.  It was the most amazing hot springs I had ever been to and was totally worth it! I hope I can get to there again!

California

This summer Andy and I took a road trip to California. We drove down through Reno then down to Monterey to see my Grandparents.  Then we drove up the coast, staying in San Fran one night and then up to this beautiful town on the coast called Trinidad the last night.  It was a long drive but totally worth it and we had so much fun!
